Our story starts in sunny San Diego, California where Steve, our owner, began his work career as a firefighter which he he dedicated himself to for 16 years. Life ended up setting him on a different path when he began working in the construction industry. Steve found a love for the art of tile and stone and its ability to transform an environment. Over the years, after gaining a wide range of knowledge and skills in the field, he saw an opportunity to establish his own company when he and his wife moved to beautiful and also sunny Colorado in 1993. His motive for founding his own company? Transform the tile and stone game; focusing on establishing an honest and fair process. In addition, to not simply set a floor or install a counter top, but to create a work of art. After 30 years in business in Colorado, Steve still continues to find passion in his work and looks forward to it everyday.
Who We Are
We are a small, family owned and operated business. Stone Factor is operated by every member of the Raifsnider family with the husband as the manager and wife on communications while the daughter handles the financial aspects and son handles graphic design while attending college full time and is an occasional helper. In addition, we have multiple crews that range from slab and tile installers to helpers who are focused on creating high quality results. Each person plays an integral role in the efficient and effective operation of the company.
